Crude Oil Tank Sludge Cleaning
 Beta Tank Robotics has developed a robotic solution to clean  crude oil tank sludge and pump it out of the tank space.  These are very low height robots and able to pass under the  heating coils easily. The robot sweeps tank bottom sludge,  crushes it and pumps this sludge out of the tank.Â
Crude Oil Tank
The robot is powered and controlled by hydraulic power.  The entire set of hydraulic hoses and sludge removal hose is  contained within an integrated tail hose. The Hydraulic  power pack system is located well outside the tank.Â
Retail Tank Cleaning
Beta Tank Robotics has developed Robots that can  be lowered into the retail petrol tanks. These  robots move inside the tank, raise its arms, spread  the arms and water wash the tanks, including  stripping the washings. This makes the gas freeing  of tanks easy, risk free and fairly quick.Â

Founder
Capt. Sekhar is an ex merchant Navy Captain of large seagoing oil tankers. He has studied finance management at Singapore and Executive General Management at IIM Bengaluru. He is the founder director of AlphaMERS Ltd. He has spearheaded innovations and technology development in the company.Â
Funding
Beta Tank Robotics has been incubated at IIT Guwahati & is funded under the Flagship Programme – Start-up India Fund SNEH of OIL India Limited.
